Agricultural Education Technology Laboratory
1. Molecular biotechnology laboratory
Main objectives of this laboratory is to study and modify nucleic acids and proteins for applications in areas such as animals, plants, and food science. Molecular biotechnology results from the convergence of diverse areas of research, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and cell biology. Topics covered include nucleic acid isolation; quantitative PCR and RT-PCR; southern, western and northern blot analysis; Gas Chromatograph (GC) and enzymatic assay.
2. Animal processing and quality control laboratory
Animal processing and quality control laboratory is used to monitor the quality of animal products such as beef, pork, poultry and fish. This laboratory is also measured virtually any physical and chemical characteristics of animal products.
3. Food processing laboratory
Food processing laboratory is a large-scale preparation and processing related to food product production. Products are made in batches designed to simulate actual industry process conditions. This laboratory is currently equipped with cooking, baking, roasting, boiling, exhausting and sealing.
4. Plant tissue culture laboratory
There are two main part of Plant tissue culture laboratory. The first part is general laboratory workspace such as media preparation, autoclaving, separation unit etc. Another part is for cultures storage under controlled condition.
