In Search
of Excellence in Education |
|
| |
In light of the awareness that the world has become a
knowledge society with networks of diverse learning communities
in all localities, education has become a big critical issue.
Learning communities of all sorts emerged everywhere and
many other alternative learning communities have increasingly
been recognized.
As we entered
the new information century, the role of science-based-technologies
has become more pronounced. All countries therefore need to
give high priority to improve their policies and systems of
education, to ensure that their entire citizens are accessible
to the essential knowledge, skills and information they need
in order to succeed and sustain in the increasingly complex
demands of our societies. We therefore need to look for more
innovative ways of delivering borderless education and ensuring
that educations are for all genders in terms of quality, equity
and education resources development.

2nd
National Education Leaders Forum |
|
| |
The 1st National Education Leaders Forum has been taken
place during 19-21 October 2005 in Bangkok, Thailand and
has remarkably established itself as the national and regional
conference truly dedicated to education community. With
the strong and without boundaries collaboration between
educators, academics and government representatives, the
forum has delivered the essential foundation and basic
expertise to education communities.
This
year, we wish to deploy the 2nd National Education Leaders
Forum as the concrete mechanism for collaboration, exchanging,
promoting, networking and sharing the best practices in
education among countries and regions. The theme “In
Search of Excellence in Education” is properly explained
our strong intention and determination in encouraging education
excellence.
